Stillness Was the Assignment 💛

There are seasons in life when everything becomes quiet.

The noise fades. The doors pause. The plans slow down. The distractions that once filled every empty space are stripped away, and all that remains is stillness. At first, it can feel uncomfortable. We often mistake quiet seasons for delay, loneliness, or lack of progress. We wonder if we’re being forgotten or left behind.

But I’ve learned something powerful: stillness is not punishment, it is preparation.

Every word I speak now carries the weight of what I learned in the quiet. The wisdom, the healing, the strength, the discernment…it was all formed in places no one applauded, no one celebrated, and no one even saw. God was working deeply beneath the surface, doing what only He can do.

In the stillness, He teaches you to hear His voice more clearly than the voices around you.

In the stillness, He heals wounds you learned to hide.

In the stillness, He reveals patterns, resets priorities, and rebuilds identity.

In the stillness, He shows you that your value was never tied to your busyness.

Some of the strongest versions of ourselves are born in seasons where it looked like nothing was happening. While others may only notice the fruit later, they rarely see the roots being developed now.

So if you’re in a quiet season, don’t rush to escape it.

Don’t fill every empty moment just because silence feels unfamiliar.

Don’t assume God is absent because things feel slow.

Sometimes His deepest work happens when life gets quiet enough for you to finally notice Him moving.

Trust the process of stillness. Honor the pause. Lean into the hidden growth.

One day, you’ll speak with a depth you didn’t have before… because of everything God taught you in the quiet.
